The Harbour Area


At the area of Southwold Harbour is an integral part of the town. Click here for information on the harbour, or take a trip to the Lifeboat Station. The entire quayside is an relaxing area for strolling along the shore or taking a little light refreshment. You can also take a short trip across to Walberswick on the Southwold Ferry, saving time on a car journey that can take over half an hour.

The harbour area is effected by tidal flow and at times the water covers the quayside, and maybe seen lapping the Harbour Inn itself..!

This normally occurs during the winter, and due to natural curiosity of the British it attracts many people to the area.
